Dr. Wolfgang Welter

Member of the Board of Management of Bayer CropScience AG and Head of Industrial Operations & QHSE

Since July 1, 2004, Dr. Wolfgang Welter has been a member of the Board of Management of Bayer CropScience AG and is responsible for Industrial Operations & QHSE*.

Wolfgang Welter, born in Oberbexbach, Germany on January 28, 1948, studied chemistry in Saarbrücken and Kaiserslautern. In 1977 he joined Hoechst AG, where he held various functional and international assignments within Industrial Operations for the Divisions CropScience and Fine Chemicals, including the position as Works Manager in Griesheim. From 1994 to 1999 he was Head of Production Active Ingredients at AgrEvo in Frankfurt. Following this, he took over the position as Head of Manufacturing at Aventis CropScience in Lyon, France. Since June 2002 Welter has been in charge of Industrial Operations & QHSE in Monheim, Germany.
