Lykele van der Broek
Head of Bayer HealthCare’s Animal Health Division
On October 1, 2006 Lykele van der Broek was appointed Head of Bayer HealthCare’s Animal Health Division.
Lykele van der Broek is Dutch and graduated from the Agricultural University in Wageningen (Netherlands) with a Master of Science specializing in Phytopathology and Business Adminstration.
Van der Broek started his career at the Plant Protection Service of the Netherlands. From 1984 to 1991, he acted as Deputy Director and Director of the Netherlands Inspection Service for Arboriculture (NAKB). He then held different positions in BioScience companies. On joining Nunza (now Nunhems), a vegetable seed group, in 1999 he was responsible for Asia Pacific and strategy. In 2001 he became CEO and continued this position after Bayer’s acquisition of Aventis CropScience in 2002. In 2003 he was appointed Head of BioScience, a business group within Bayer CropScience, before changing into the position as Head of Regional Coordination Europe at Bayer AG.
Lykele van der Broek is married and has three children.
